Gavin Cawood

Gavin Cawood, currently Head of Unit for the National Centre for Product Design & Development Research (PDR) in Cardiff (UK), started his career after gaining a degree in industrial design. He became a partner in a product design consultancy with clients as diverse as the Early Learning Centre, Marconi and Xerox. Subsequently Gavin became Lead industrial designer at Xerox responsible for all Xerox products manufactured in Europe. In understanding further how design fits into a business context he gained an MBA and then joined Cardiff Metropolitan University to develop a business support program focused on design.
