George J. Sowden
Sowden DesignMilano, ItalyGeorge J. Sowden is experienced in many fields of industrial design, from electronic products to handmade objects like ceramics, glass, textiles and carpets. After working with Ettore Sottsass, he collaborated with Olivetti for more than 20 years and was one of the founders of Memphis. He has been consultant to Olivetti, Allessi, Bodum, Moulinex, Steelcase, Segis, and others. In 1981 he established Sowden Design. His products have been published in many books on design, most recently 'Designing in the 21st Century' (Taschen).
