Jette Joop

Joop DesignHamburg, Germany

Jette Joop was born in Braunschweig, Germany, in 1968 and lives in Hamburg and New York. After completing high school in Oxford/England, she studied design at the Art Center College of Design in California, where she graduated in transportation design. From 1992-95 she was head jewelry designer at Barry Kieselstein-Cord in New York City, and from 1995-96 she was in charge of the Joop jewelry, watches and accessories collection of Joop. Before setting up her own jewelry firm in 1996, which is now registered as Jette Joop Europe GmbH and sells to the German and US markets, she worked for time as jewelry and home furnishing designer at Polo Ralph Lauren in New York City.
