Juan Mellen

Juan Mellen is the President of the Design Institute of Spain (DIOS) in Madrid, which promotes the perception of design to increase the competitiveness of companies and strengthen the positioning of the Spanish national image. He is a senior lecturer in Strategic Orientation for the Master's degree in Strategic Design at the University of Deusto in Bilbao and is also responsible for the Business Model Strategy section of the Master's degree in Fashion Design Brand Management at the BAU Design School in Barcelona. Juan is a founding member and former Chairman of the board of the first non-profit and private Association of Spanish Design Companies (RED). He received his degree in Public Relations from the University of Barcelona and writes both opinion pieces and articles on design branding and communication guidelines in online and offline media.
