Jürg Zumtobel

Zumtobel Group AGDornbirn, Austria

Jürg Zumtobel (*1936) studied High Frequency Technology at Munich University of Technology and in 1961 joined the family firm W. Zumtobel KG. In 1963 he took on various development activities and management roles at Zumtobel KG, which became Zumtobel AG in 1976. From 1991 to 2003 he was CEO at the company, and since 2003 has been Chairman of Zumtobel AG's Supervisory Board. He is a member of several associations, including the Committee on Architecture and Design at MoMA, and was awarded the Grand Decoration of Honor in Gold for his services to Austria.
