Mariana Amatullo

Mariana Amatullo is an Associate Professor of Strategic Design and Management at Parsons School of Design, The New School, and serves as Vice Provost and Academic Dean of Continuing and Professional Education at the university. She is a Global Salzburg Fellow and a Fellow with the Royal Society of the Arts and one of the Honorary Presidents of the Cumulus Association. Prior to joining Parsons, Mariana co-founded Designmatters, the award-winning social innovation department at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California. Mariana holds a Ph.D. in Management from Case Western Reserve University; an M.A. in Art History and Museum Studies from the University of Southern California, and a Licence en Lettres from the Sorbonne University, where she also studied at L'Ecole du Louvre. Her latest book, Design for Social Innovation: Case Studies from Around the World (co-editor Routledge, 2021) presents an overview of design practices focused on social impact worldwide.
