Marika Aakesson

IED Istituto Europeo di DesignRome, Italy

Marika Aakesson is a Rome-based Swedish-Danish product designer. She is the coordinator of the product design courses at the IED Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome and executive member of the board of ADI Associazione per il Disegno Industriale. She teaches design for sustainable development and is part of IED's Global Goals Jam group. Her work as a freelance designer also focuses on sustainability and she currently works in areas related to food, wellbeing and wearable technology for education.
