Mathias Tingström is Global Head of Design at Phillip Morris International, leading the design strategy across all the reduced risk products with brands like IQOS. He has over 20 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams in multinational corporations in Sweden, Italy, UK and Switzerland across industries such as Home domestic appliances, wearable safety industrial solutions to life-style products. He held positions such as Design and Interaction Manager within the Electrolux Group as well as Head of Design Studio for Whirlpool Europe with responsibility for the creative direction and design strategy for brands such as Whirlpool, Bauknecht, KitchenAid and key accounts like Ikea. Mathias was also Global User Experience Director for Honeywell Industrial Safety and Creative Director for Physical Design for Safety and Productivity Solutions leading to his current role with IQOS at PMI. Born is Sweden, he studied Industrial design at UID Umeå University.
