Michael Vollmann

Michael Vollmann leads Amazon’s philanthropic investments in education in Europe. Through Amazon Future Engineer he’s engaged in bringing more equity into computer science education. Michael co-founded nebenan.de - Europe’s largest social network for neighbors, established nebenan.de Foundation and initiated the German Neighborhood Award. He started his career at Ashoka – a global network for social entrepreneurs – where he was part of the German management team and director of the Globalizer Accelerator Program. He holds a degree in Intercultural Business Studies, studied in Passau and Rio de Janeiro and worked as a social worker in Chile. Michael lives in Berlin with his wife and three daughters.
