Minoru Ikeda

Hitachi Ltd.Tokyo, Japan

Minoru Ikeda is the Product Design Strategist at Hitachi Ltd. He designed a broad range of products including mobile phones, TV sets, computer servers and rolling stocks. From 1991 to 1996, he worked at the Milan-based office of Hitachi, where he collaborated with Clino Castelli for CMF design. After he returned to Japan, he conducted advanced design projects, such as the project of future information device and the project of design language for all Hitachi products. Minoru has also been a part-time lecturer at the Chiba university. His designs had won over 40 design awards such as the GOOD DESIGN AWARD or the iF DESIGN AWARD.
