Norm Cox

Educated in Architecture and Design at Louisiana State University, Norm Cox began his design career at Xerox’s famed Palo Alto Research Center in the late ‘70s as the visual designer for the Xerox Star, the revolutionary, and first commercially produced personal computer with a graphic user interface. He left Xerox in 1982 to form his own consultancy to expand his influence, knowledge, talents and experience in the emerging field of computer-human interaction design and visual communication. In 30 years of consulting, he has produced innovative designs for dozens of leading edge clients, and has been named as inventor on 29 patents related to user interface design for Xerox, Sun Microsystems and IBM. He is a frequent lecturer to businesses, universities and design conferences, and an expert witness in copyright infringement litigations. Additionally, he has won numerous awards for traditional graphic design and illustration.
