Oliver Hood

Oliver Hood studied industrial design at the Royal College of Art in London. As of 1976: worked at Kilkenny Design Workshops where he was made Head of Industrial and Furniture Design in 1979. 1984: established Hood Associates, now one of the largest design agencies in Ireland. Clients include Alps, Bissell, Logitech, Square D and Tente. Has lectured in Ireland, England and the USA. Represented Ireland in 1990 and 1992 on the European Jury for the European Community Design Prize. Has won many prizes and his designs have been featured on TV and in various media and design publications. Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Member of the Institute of Materials.
