Özlem Er

Istanbul Technical University - Faculty of ArchitectureIstanbul, Türkiye

Özlem Er (born in 1966) is a professor in the faculty of Industrial Product Design at Istanbul Technical University and is on the board of the European Academy of Design. Between 1996 and 2000 she taught at the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, where she also received her BID and MSc. Özlem is largely responsible for the introduction of the teaching of Design Management at Bachelor and Master level in Turkey and oversees numerous courses on various aspects of design and business. She also headed up a project for the National Development Agency, which put Industrial Design graduates in touch with medium-sized companies. Özlem has published numerous articles, books and book contributions at both national and international level.
