Sonja Schiefer

Siemens Home AppliancesMünchen, Germany

Sonja Schiefer was the Director of the Shanghai studio of Designworks, A BMW Group Company. As a creative orchestrator, she has been working for Designworks in leading positions and at different locations since 2001. 2021 Sonja returned to Munich and joined BSH Home Appliances as VP Design of the Siemens Brand. Her responsibility is to lead the global Design team and the development of the future Design language. With her sound background in the field of design, she has gained more than two decades of experience in the international design industry, which combines a holistic, interdisciplinary view of design with strategic know-how and industry-spanning expertise. Earlier on in her career, she worked at Frog in Sunnyvale and Frog New York, where she began her work as a designer and most recently headed the studio in Manhattan. Sonja has won numerous international design awards and holds several design patents.
