Dr. Stefano Marzano

Bergeijk, Netherlands

Born 1950. He holds a doctorade in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic. During the early part of his career he worked on a wide range of assignments for several design firms including Makio Hasuike, Philips Ire Design Center, Pavesi&Pavesi and Design Boletto, of which he was co-founder. In 1978, he joined the Philips Design Center, Eindhoven, Netherlands whre, a year later, he became Design Leader for data systems for data systems and telecommunications products. He returned to Italy in 1982 to direct the Philips Ire Design Center, becoming VP of Corporate Industrial Design fpr Whirlpool International in 1989. Senior Director of Philips Design since 1991. Guest professor and member of the Strategic Board of the Domus Academy, Milan, member of the board of the Metropolis Science and Technology Center in Amsterdam and Aestron Foundation in Holland.
