Op Pad MagazineHaag, NetherlandsTjeerd Visser has been a technical editor for the Dutch outdoor magazine, Op Pad, since 1996. As a specialist for apparel, backpacks, sleeping bags and mattresses as well as winter and tropical equipment, he has written critical reports on many equipment tests in the Netherlands. His “outdoor career” began at the tender age of 14, when he cycled from Amsterdam to the Ardennes in Belgium. In the 1980s, he explored parts of Nepal, Cameroon and Peru – before he lost his heart to the South-American continent.
