Tobias Grau

After graduating from high school, Tobias Grau studied business administration in Munich. In 1983, he began studying at the Parson School of Design in New York and went on to gain practical experience in the development department at Knoll International in Pennsylvania. A year later he began working as a freelance designer in Hamburg, creating interior designs for advertising agencies and fashion stores. His first luminaire collection – launched under his own name – stems from his work during this period.  He and his wife Franziska Grau have since developed their own premium luminaire brand, where his focus lies on design and development of new luminaires and new lighting systems.
