Tomoko Azumi
TNA Design StudioLondon, United KingdomTomoko Azumi is a London-based Japanese Designer who runs the TNA Design Studio, a multicultural design team. She covers many different fields of design, including furniture and product design for manufacturers, exhibitions, retail interior, bespoke & site-specific objects, plus installations for companies and institutions. Tomoko studied architecture in Kyoto, worked for three years in architecture studios in Tokyo and finished her studies of MA Furniture Design at the Royal College of Art in 1995. After a ten-year partnership at AZUMI, Tomoko opened TNA Design Studio in 2005. Throughout her career she had collaborated with clients such as The Supreme Court UK, ercol, Isocon Plus, British Council, London Design Festival (UK), Lapalma, Il Bisonte, Zilio A&C (Italy), Takeo, Time & Style (Japan), Röthlisberger (Switzerland), Iittala (Finland), Swarovski (Austria), Monna Studio (Turkey) and AHEC (USA). She gives workshops at institutions and museums, including the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Aalto University in Finland. Tomoko acts as juror at various international design awards.
