Yun-Chin Kuo

Yun-Chin Kuo is director of the departments of Textile and Fashion Design and of Fashion Marketing at the Textile and Fashion Design Center of the Taiwan Textile Federation. She graduated (1984) in textile and fashion design from the Fu Jen Catholic University and received her MA in Art Education from the University of Illinois. Before taking on her current position she worked as a textile designer at Pei Hsin Knitting Co. Ltd., one of the largest Taiwanese knitwear manufacturers. She is also responsible for organizing the Taiwan Fashion Design Awards, which she developed into an international platform that has become one of the most important fashion design competitions in Asia. In 2009, she was commissioned to organize Taipei IN Style, the most important international trade fair for apparel and accessories in Taiwan. She has since been heading the trade fair’s team, making Taipei IN Style one of the most successful market places in the Asia-Pacific region.
