Location
Vitra Design Museum, Charles-Eames-Str. 2, Weil am Rhein

After Marcel Breuer was the first to use tubular steel furniture for Bauhaus construction work in 1925, revolutionizing modern living, Anton Lorenz was one of the first to recognize the potential of the material. With his patents and the company he founded, he became a key figure for the future success of tubular steel furniture worldwide. The exhibition will present important documents from his bequest as well as tubular steel furniture by Marcel Breuer, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier, and other designers in a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the avant-garde.
