Die Preisverleihung zur zehnten Auflage des Deutschen Lichtdesign-Preis mit 35 Nominierungen in 13 Kategorien wird in diesem Jahr ohne die physische Präsenz der durchschnittlich fast 500 Gäste, die jedes Jahr an der Galaveranstaltung teilnehmen, erfolgen. Dazu haben sich die Veranstalter entschieden. Nächster Live-Event wird voraussichtlaich im Juni 2021 im Kuppelsaal Hannover sein. Für die Einreichungen zum Deutschen Lichtdesign-Preis 2021 wurde die Frist bis zum 31. Oktober 2020 verlängert.
