Wood is 100% environmentally friendly, tough, and, with its great damping capability, an excellent material for making bicycle frames. After two years of research and development, the project team tackled every aspect of natural wood, including weight, strength, weather resistance, and manufacturing, and finally created the first tubular wooden frame bicycle, Triwood, in Taiwan. With CNC machined tubular wooden frames, the weight is greatly reduced while maintaining the all-important damping characteristic of natural wood. The material we use is either organic, like wood and leather, or recyclable, such as aluminum and steel.
