Store furniture

Curvink Architects / En-Kai Kuo

It takes a lot of effort to beautify a city, so the best place to start is on a street corner! An alpha-shaped stool and an omega-shaped table are placed inside a flower shop at a street corner (Taichung Taiwan). The stool offers pedestrians a place to sit. The table is hung in the entrance of the flower shop as a reception desk. Both pieces add to the aesthetic streetscape of the city. These natural furnishings were created with an environmentally friendly, steam bending technique using FSC local forest trees. Steam-bending a tree is similar to performing a magic trick and also a symbol of an ecological approach to our surroundings.
