Event branding

The Mercosul Biennial is the largest contemporary art event in south of Brazil. “The Atlantic Triangle” was the theme of the Biennial's 11th edition, which explored the points of conversion between indigenous, European and African cultures and how they have created a new American mix. Bringing together 70 artists and groups of artists, the 2018 edition took place in the historic center of Porto Alegre in southern Brazil. The design project for the event included changes to the Biennial's brand visuals and the creation of a photographic identity using colored pencil nubs and shavings. The new images represent the cultural mix of this mixed-race society and were used on all graphics for the event.
