2020 Creative Expo Taoyuan - RUNNING TAOYUAN

Exhibition

Department of Cultural Affairs, Taoyuan

2020 Creative Expo Taoyuan is held in Matsu New Village, a unique cultural site and epitome of veteran life and ongoing history. We utilized galvanized pipe and traditional yarn as materials to coordinate the old with the new, indoor with outdoor spaces. The village's three most prominent colors are used as visual cues, while greenery is no longer a mere accessory but a key element to complete the overall space and theme. The artificial lighting allows the venue to present vastly different impressions during the day and night, transforming the village into a doorway to the past, beckoning visitors to discover the distinctive qualities of Taoyuan.
