The Forbidden City is the palace of emperors in ancient China with a history that dates back more than 600 years. The designers created this calendar to communicate the culture and history of the Forbidden City. The Gongli Shangxin calendar set consists of a weekly calendar and bookmarks. The box features Chinese symbols of luck, such as the dragon, the phoenix, and clouds, which frame the inner palace as cutouts. The calendar cover design cutout is based on a unique window pattern from ancient Chinese architecture and invites the user to open the palace door and step inside the Forbidden City.
