Key Visual Design Concept
The design of the key visual for the 2022 Yunlin International Puppet Theater revolves around the theme of Shocking Kung Fu. The design combines the contours of hand puppets integrated with the Chinese character, and lines up the traditional characters of male role, female role, painted-face role, elderly male role, and comic clown on a scale from small to big. By visually magnifying the puppets through the use of perspective and a compact, powerfully radiating image, the design points to the accumulation and dispersal of the puppet theater culture that has spread throughout the globe.
