2023 Hakka Expo - The Land Where Faith Gathered

Public Exhibition

Taiwan Design Research Institute

“The Land Where Faith Gathered ” delves into the close connection between Hakka people and the land, showcasing their lives, traditional crafts, and the natural resources and labor songs that nourish Hakka cultural vitality. These elements illustrate the Hakka’s sense of mission in daily practices and reveal how their beliefs and spirits resonate among ponds, settlements, river valleys, and hills. In contemporary times, they continue to evolve through constant practice and adaptation. The exhibition reflects on how culture fosters social connections and cultural identity in a changing world.
