25th Anniversary Independence Day of Palau
Event identity design
P.I.E. Printing
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Independence Day, Palau's government hoped to build a unique visual identity. Before the design process began, a full understanding of its culture and historical backgrounds was necessary. We consulted local experienced Taiwanese businessmen and studied the meanings of ethnic totems. In the Republic of Palau, Delerrok represents good luck, pride, and prosperity and Chedechuul is the god of construction that repels evil spirits. We combined Delerrok and Chedechuul with tribal totems and marine culture, and created an identity of cultural meanings and modernity for the special event.
