The historical cockpit clock Nabo 17 ZM was the inspiration for this mechanical watch model's design and style. Originally designed for the German Luftwaffe's Tornado program in the late 1970s, the Nabo 17 ZM was a cockpit clock with a central minute counter. The challenge for this design was to put the classic cockpit watch functions in a wristwatch format by implementing SINN-Technologies. The special bezel construction, operated with the sapphire on the outer diameter, still guarantees waterproof usage up to 20 bar. The 61.5-mm historical case diameter was reduced to 45 mm to guarantee the watch's suitability for everyday use.
