Caring for vulnerable children
This program provides comprehensive support to OVC and youth in rural villages, ensuring they have access to basic rights such as food, education, healthcare, safety, and trauma counseling. ASAP addresses the significant challenges faced by vulnerable children and youth in rural villages , including lack of access to nutritious food, hunger, lack of education, and exposure to HIV, sexual abuse, and gender-based violence (GBV). For the OVC and youth, it means access to education, nutrition, healthcare, and psychosocial support, contributing to their overall development and wellbeing. Through CBO empowerment, communities become skilled .
This is a highly impressive work by ASAP, addressing some of the most pressing issues faced by youth such as disrespect fundamental rights, access to education, sexual abuse, gender-based violence, lack of psychological support, and safety.
