A Century of Heartfelt Sentiment
Exhibition
Bank Of Culture
Occupying three halls, this exhibition curates the evolving legacy of the Taiwanese Cultural Association in the century of time between 1921 and 2021. Hall One presents pages from the Japanese colonial-era Taiwan Nichinichi Shinpo, a newspaper published during the early years of the Taiwanese Cultural Association, integrated into chair-art pieces. Hallo Two uses a paper screen to represent the ebb and flow of cultural thought and the rising tide of enlightenment, while Hall Three depicts the tree of culture with a profusion of singularly unique branches and leaves. This work of paper art is hung with periodicals, artwork, and traditional theater scripts.
