El libro es esencial, ya que es el segundo que se publica en Singapur que documenta la artesanía tradicional local; el primero se publicó en 1993. El libro presenta 28 oficios tradicionales de incalculable valor que han desaparecido, desaparecerán o se transformarán en los próximos 20 años en Singapur.
