A Home of Intimate Bonds

Residence

A residential maisonette with a large 3Mx3M window, the old layout - the positions of the central staircase and main beam, caused poor lighting and fragmented, enclosed spaces. By relocating the staircase and lowering part of the floor, the obstacle created by the large main beam was eliminated, allowing the layout to be reconfigured. This maximizes natural light and creates a high ceiling with minimal renovation. Connected and transitional spaces are designed as ‘spots for emotional bonds,’ enabling adults to work and children to play in the same area, creating an intimate nest for a family of four with strong companionship.
