The client's wish for this residential project was a private space tucked away in the city. His comment that "Although the Zen style in Kyoto is good, it is a bit old" reveals that he was wanted a residential space with exquisite Japanese design and modern styling. Once they'd understood this, the design team set to work infusing the minimalist industrial space with a Japanese style that satisfied the client's needs.
