Digital scarecrow

"Abi" uses sensors and cameras to recognize crop pests and harmful substances, which can then be eradicated through laser and drone technology. Abi is charged through arm-shaped solar panels. This "next-generation digital scarecrow" takes the symbolism and tradition of existing scarecrows but detects and fights crop pests using modern technology.

JURY STATEMENT

This is a breakthrough idea that incorporates new technology while maintaining tradition. The design is versatile and very useful.

WINNER STATEMENT

It's a great honor to receive the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD 2021. We hope that Abi will one day be realized, helping to develop agricultural pest control in more effective and sustainable ways.
