adidas Sport Style Y-3

Website

adidas-Salomon AG

The first Prêt-à-porter fashion show on the Internet: models present the new Y-3 collection as they strut down a virtual catwalk. The user can view the models/outfits from three different angles. The concept goes perfectly with the brand Y-3, a cooperation between the Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto and adidas. Yamamoto is known for his fabulous fashion shows while adidas stands for sport and movement. Movement is shown through animation while the elegant look of the site reflects Yamamoto’s style. In the broadband version of the site, a randomly chosen model appears and presents an outfit. While the full animation is loading, the user sees an animated silhouette. Then the model appears in a front view. Although it looks like a video sequence, it is actually a well rendered animation of single bitmap images.
