The design theme here is the creation of a café bar ambiance where the “lingering charm of dark roast coffee” makes this a comforting place to come home to. The design starts from the central kitchen island which provides a space for dining, socializing and studying. Irregular polygons above the island stretch to cover the entire room. To accentuate the spiritual theme in the space, bricks with varying lines and grains fired by a century-old kiln are used to convey the natural, bursting, and changeable breath, resembling the beautiful selfless moments brought by the selected coffees with different roasting, brewing skills and moods.
