Airscape - Compact Housing Designed to Grow
Compact housing with adjustable partition system
Jac Hsieh
Airscape, a sustainable renovation of an old urban compact housing, contemplates the proportional balance between the communal and private spaces to optimize its use with the least material use possible, promoting the idea 'designs to grow.' Given 85% of its use is for one user, it’s designed open to embrace inherent landscape, natural lighting and ventilation to reduce carbon footprint, yet still providing flexible adjustments to form privacy. The Adjustable Partition System offers a configurable framework allowing for later designs to build on, raising consciousness in material consumption, and exemplifying sustainable renovation behavior.
