Insurance is its core business, but it’s not easy to create an engaging magazine dealing with dry actuarial issues or complicated financial topics. So we came up with a new format to look at insurance themes in a fresh way, and called it simply "1890", the year the company was founded. Achieving high market penetration today means using every available means of distribution. So "1890" is printed, accessible online, and available as a download for tablet computers.
