A therapeutical game for kids with social anxiety

Social anxiety disorder can have a significant negative impact on children‘s lives, causing them to feel intense fear in social situations. Early interventions can be effective in managing anxiety, but therapy can be difficult due to access. "allie" is a therapeutic system designed specifically for children aged 5 to 9 with social anxiety disorder. It features a customizable hero companion that helps children cope and improve their condition. By providing stability and enhancing self-confidence during moments of anxiety, the modular system of patches helps children recall learned skills through positive reinforcement.

JURY STATEMENT

This therapeutic game creates a positive scenario with goals and achievements, allowing kids to immerse themselves in the therapeutic process. The interaction is friendly and fun. The use of natural materials like wood and textiles perfectly matches the playful style of the toys.

WINNER STATEMENT

We are thrilled to win an iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD! It is an incredible feeling to have our work acknowledged. It motivates us to keep pushing our design boundaries. We hope our project raises awareness about social anxiety among children.
