Chair

Allsteel assigned BMW Group DesignworksUSA with the task of creating a seating solution that would deliver all of the beauty, performance, and versatility needed in today's modern workspaces. The design team created a design language focused on key attributes such as simplicity, intuitiveness, integrity and energy to create a new seating solution. The team pushed for the final design to be as lean as possible, following the philosophy of “design by reduction" focusing solely on function and form. In addition to creating a pure aesthetic, the minimal use of parts results in a lightweight chair that can be moved anyway in the office.
