The American photographer and video artist Alvin Booth mixes the aesthetics of vintage short films and modern stylistic devices. Thereto a statement of the artist: “If MTV had been around 100 years earlier, perhaps my films might have been a kind of 1890s pop video.” The designers of the DVD package and the menu navigation considered this idea, played with it during the design process and created a congenial shape.
