365 old apple varieties are presented deliciously in a daily tear-off calendar. The idea for this calendar took shape in the dappled shade of an orchard ready for harvest. Many library visits later, the designers chose the most beautiful of 700 old apples. On Sundays and holidays, they used the branches and blossoms to verify the varieties and decided to make a second perforation. This means you can tear off the calendar neatly and “preserve” the apple collection for perpetuity. One balmy early summer’s night in Bolzano, they got the idea to package the calendar in a little, specially made fruit crate that would last well past 2017.
