Acquisition Rebrand

BlackRock acquired Aperio, a firm focused on crafting portfolios as unique as their investors. Our challenge was bringing Aperio into BlackRock without losing what made Aperio special: a uniquely creative, quirky, and Californian team that is far more liberal arts than Wall Street. With the input of both teams and insights from many clients, we helped Aperio rethink who they were in the context of BlackRock. We developed brand positioning, messaging, personality, tone of voice, visual identity and brand assets to bring the newly acquired company into the BlackRock ecosystem while making a bold statement about what makes Aperio stand out.
