Apple Remote

Computer accessory

Apple, Inc.

The Apple Remote enables an iPod or Mac to be operated from the other end of the room. All the user has to do is plug the iPod into the iPod Universal Dock, which in turn is connected to a TV set, a stereo system, or active speakers with internal power supply. The Apple Remote can control videos, slideshows, music, or podcasts without the user having to get up from the sofa. A clearly laid-out user interface includes just six buttons: play/pause, volume up/down, and next/previous. The innovative technology of the Apple Remote also supports the iMac and other Mac computers with Front Row.
