Media building converted from hotel building

The adaptive reuse of a long-abandoned 5A scenic area hotel into Media Center Office Building, delivered on a tight budget, is China’s first ultra-low-energy renovation demonstration project in severe cold regions(-30 degrees). An integrated indoor-outdoor renewal strategy is adopted. To meet owner's demand for open, shared and iconic spaces, two core shared areas are built based on the existing structure: the elegant, artistic Lilac Hall (Public Media Center) and memory-rich Regeneration Hall (Office Zone). The design meets the Three-Star Green Building Standard, balancing function, health and comfort to realize green regeneration of buildings.
