ARTPOT

Public art installation

ArtPot is a participatory public art installation at Gyeonggi Province Governor’s residence that was remodeled as a public art house. ArtPot is made from everyday materials; paper sleeves, plastic cups, and ivy plants. The pattern structure of ArtPot functions like a large planter with thousands of little pots. It is rolled and pulled together to create a dynamic shape, luring visitors to the art house. Visitors can participate in completing ArtPot by naming and watering ivies. As the ivies grow, ArtPot changes as well. Participants take ivy pots home after the exhibition ends, then the installation will be completed but also continued.
