ASELSAN heart-lung machine (HLM) enables perfusionists (users) to build configurations easily and quickly according to the changing needs of each open-heart surgery. A custom-designed layout of the components for each surgery leads to a considerable reduction in blood hemolysis, which increases the success rate of the postoperative healing processes. Touch screens on pump units, high reachability, easy mapping, customized storage areas, positioning vital interactions close to the users, and easy-to-use/informative user interfaces reduce the physical and cognitive load of perfusionists to enhance their performance during operations.
