large-scale public art installation

Located beside the ancient Jinzhongdu Ruins in Beijing, this freeform installation is composed of 220,000 golden aluminum tiles. Inspired by the imagery of the “dragon vein,” it echoes eight centuries of the capital’s history. Spanning architecture, landscape, and interior, the structure flows across the ground like a metallic ridge shimmering under sunlight, evoking a sense of time’s flow. Through a “parametric segmentation + modular prefabrication” strategy, each tile is precisely arranged along complex curves, creating a contemporary expression of the ancient city’s light where engineering rationality and artistic poetry converge.
